Metered Service
Concert Telecommunications owns and operates our own switches to deliver calls to and from our customers. We operate multiple switches that are distributed across the US for both performance and redundancy. We also contract with a number of different carriers for further redundancy should we lose connectivity to one of our carrier's switches.
Metered services are typically prepay only and coming in March, you can open and manage your account online. Unlike unlimited products, every metered accounts is capable of unlimited simultaneous inbound and outbound calls with no special configuration needed.
No minimum deposit required to open an account; no monthly minimums; and no statement or billing fees!

Unlimited Simultaneous Calls
- Our US local, Canadian local, and toll-free DIDs are capable of receiving unlimited simultaneous calls. Similarly, you make make unlimited simultaneous outbound calls. Our service is only limited to your equipment's capabilities and your available Internet bandwidth.
- Each simultaneous call is treated independently for billing purposes. For example, every minute that you have two simultaneous calls, you are billed for two minutes. Similarly, for every minute you have five simultaneous inbound or outbound calls, you are billed for five minutes.
Aggregated Billing
- Inbound usage across all DIDs and outbound calls are totaled together.
Compatibility
- All calling services utilize the Internet standard SIP protocol for call signaling and setup and the standard RTP protocol for audio delivery.
- Audio can be delivered using the G.711a (a-law), G.711u (u-law), or compressed G.729a or GSM codecs, depending on what your equipment supports and it's configuration.
Acceptable Usage
- Generally speaking, we do not place limitations on our services. However, all services must be used for lawful purposes based on the laws of the customer's country.
Other Terms and Conditions
- We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently discontinue service at anytime and without any notice, if this occurs, it will issue full refunds on unused balances.
- Customers understand that the service quality is “as is”, and should vary depending on the location of the customer and the destination or originating point of each call.
- Customers purchasing 911 add-on service must understand and accept additional terms and conditions, including the understanding that 911 calls may not be delivered and that a backup telecommunications device (such as a cellular telephone) is strongly recommended in the event of an emergency.
- Rates may vary at anytime, but are generally guaranteed for a minimum of 30 days.
